In Loving Memory of Michael Jackson: Captain EO, In Its Entirety

The King of Pop is dead. Long live the King of Pop! As I'm too distressed to work, as I'm sure you are too, I thought we could celebrate Michael together with something from his prime: 3-D Disney parks cinematic odyssey Captain EO -- which, many tend to forget, was one of Francis Ford Coppola's lesser-heralded works. That's Angelica Huston as the licorice-tangled Supreme Leader ordering EO and his crew to be turned into trash cans, before Michael saves the day by singing "We Are Here To Change The World" and shooting purple lasers out of his wrists. Captain EO premiered at EPCOT September 12, 1986 and had its last public showing at Disneyland Park Paris on August 17, 1998. Goodbye, Michael. There will never be another you. I wish it all had a happier ending.

Family attorney and family 'friend' has already announced that he suspects prescription drug abuse was a factor if not a cause. He claims michael's habit was bigger than Anna Nicole Smith's.

It would be better without all the distracting 80's style sound effects. But I suppose that was the style then.

  • The One says:

The price is not cheap, but it's a great value since the darn things don't wear out. The look is sort of ... clunky, yet I see a lot of copies (of lesser quality) in all the mall ugg stores this year. I'm buying a couple more pair for my teenagers this year, and even a pair for myself.

  • Michael Jackson is completely amazing, I cannot stop listening to his great albums . Can't believe he has passed away . He's just awesome. R.I.P MJ, mankind will not forget you

  • There's certainly nothing at all like riding a nice bike on a mountain path - especially in the spring time. I cannot think of anything at all I'd rather be doing - well, perhaps ONE thing .. 😉

  • Sometimes it is really amazing what people think of.

  • Marion Denet says:

Hi, I totally agree with you! Just obey my previous comment

This is a excellent topic to speak about. Sometimes I fav stuff like this on Redit. This article probably wont do nicely with that crowd. I will probably be positive to submit something else though.
