Damon Wayans Ousted From Hollywood in Early TOC Voting
An industry watershed was reached today as voters in our Wayans-vs.-Wayans battle royale cut Damon Wayans off from his mega-powerful filmmaking family. Another three Hollywood casualties followed as Movieline's latest Tournament of Champions moved into its second cutthroat round.
Shawn and Damien Wayans will join Damon in the hunt for new professional pursuits -- or, depending on Dance Flick's box-office take this weekend, retire in relative comfort with some semblance of their legacies intact. And I'm disheartened to announce that there will be no runoff in the race between Kim Wayans and her nephew Dwayne Jr., though I have all the confidence that Shway Shwayans will manage just fine in his new career as MySpace's joke-hop pioneer.

I already voted for Marlon (although Kim pretty much stole every scene on the old Wayans Bros show), but, people: Keenan deserves to win it all. The guy has worked kinda hard over the years, and he was in that action movie that one time.

@Colander: I'll take Kim at this point. Anybody but Keenen. In terms of banking goodwill with about five years of extraordinary, influential entertainment, and then pissing it away over the next 15, his only equal is Eddie Murphy.
Requiem For a Dream was awesome, and Marlon rode the wave. GI Joe will obliterate any positive feelings I have for him, but I can't judge a book, yadayada. Keenan and Damon are like a coin-flip, though. My Wife and Kids = funny. But then...what?
