Dorff to Play Porn Star Before He Plays Rock Star
In today's Hollywood Ink ... Stephen Dorff stretches ... WMA and Endeavor rut ... Joseph Gordon-Levitt fills a James Franco-shaped hole in Chris Nolan's next movie ...
· Before Stephen Dorff plays a drug-addled rock star whooping it at the Chateau Marmont in Sofia Coppola's next film, he's going to do a complete 180° and play drug-addled porn star Dick Shadow in Born to Be a Star, a comedy co-written by Adam Sandler about a kid who finds out his parents were adult film stars before they settled down to start a family. · The merging of WMA and Endeavor into one formidable, CAA-targeting superfoe has hit a speedbump, as board members from both sides are grumbling about fair representation in the new megaboard. Sources close to the deal say it could wind up coming down to an old-fashioned dick-measuring contest, the start of which will be marked by the sound echoing throughout Beverly Hills of dozens of board member's members slapping down onto white laminated glass. · Joseph Gordon-Levitt will replace James Franco in Christopher Nolan's Inception, a thriller whose plot is being closely guarded but which is already being touted by Nolan fans as "not Batman 3 -- WTF????" It also stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a "CEO-type," Marion Cotillard as Leo's wife, and Ellen Page as a college student. [THR]
· Tiffani Thiessen returns to episodic TV in White Collar, a series greenlit by USA about "a con artist (Chuck's Matthew Bomer) and an FBI agent (Tim DeKay) engaged in a game of cat-and-mouse." [TVWeek]
