Variety reports that Douglas Booth has been cast in the upcoming adaptation of Romeo & Juliet from Gosford Park writer Julian Fellowes. The 19-year-old reportedly beat out 300 other actors for the chance to call Juliet the sun. Congrats, handsome! As more details emerge about the single-car accident that killed Jackass star Ryan Dunn and passenger Zachary Hartwell -- an Iraq war veteran who was recently married, according to MTV -- the story has been overshadowed by a controversial tweet from film critic Roger Ebert, and an angered response from Dunn's best friend and Jackass cohort Bam Margera. In an effort to quell the outrage, Ebert took to his blog on Tuesday morning to clarify his remarks.

A year after headlining one of summer's most ambitious blockbusters, Jake Gyllenhaal has advanced to what anybody would consider the logical next step: A guest spot on the season premiere of Man vs. Wild. The actor accompanied host Bear Grylls to Iceland for the episode airing July 11; according to a Discovery Channel press release, "Jake will have to go where Bear goes, eat whatever Bear eats, and on occasion even take the lead, if he's going to cope with some of the worst conditions known to man." Star Trek 2 still doesn't have an official director -- J.J. Abrams has yet to confirm his involvement, though it is widely assumed he'll be back -- but that doesn't mean there isn't time to speculate about whether William Shatner will make an appearance. You'll recall that Abrams had planned to include a Shatner-as-Captain Kirk cameo in Star Trek, but that didn't work out. ("We tried desperately to put him in the movie, but he was making it very clear that he wanted the movie to focus on him significantly, which, frankly, he deserves," said Abrams.) Will things be different for the sequel?
