Motherchucker. At Comic-Con today, executive producers Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak announced that Linda Hamilton will guest star on the next season of Chuck. The former Sarah Connor will play Chuck's mysterious mom and likely be the catalyst for a handful of Terminator references this season. [EW]
Considering the exploits apparently on-screen during I'm Still Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix, it doesn't come as a total surprise that a producer has filed a sexual harassment claim. Amanda White alleges that she was forced to endure "uninvited and unwelcome sexual advances in the workplace," plus a shoot in Las Vegas hotel room inhabited with hookers and transvestites. And what does she say director Casey Affleck did in particular?

Last night at Comic-Con, Dixon and I attended a party for Tron Legacy that was intended to evoke a futuristic club (and would have succeeded, if not for all the Myspace signage). The best part wasn't the Daft Punk music or the face-painted models. The best part was the shoes.

It looks like The Office is pulling out all the stops for Steve Carell's final season. In addition to Amy Ryan, Deadline reports that Melora Hardin will return for multiple episodes as Michael's other ex, Jan. Can you say "dramatic conflict"? In addition to her Office duties for NBC, Hardin will also appear in a recurring role on the Jimmy Smits show Outlaw. [Deadline]
The Wired Cafe at Comic-Con has recreated True Blood's main restaurant, Merlotte's, and it is a fairly accurate adaptation, aside from the fact that none of the waitresses are taking their tops off and/or dying. There was also the weird little matter of Sam Trammell himself showing up behind the bar.

While it probably won't top Inception at the box office this weekend -- yes, you told me so -- Salt is still a major success, most of which can be attributed to Angelina Jolie. Can you think of another female star in 2010 who could lead an action film to $40 million in ticket sales on opening weekend? Of course not. But by 2014, Angie might have company in the form of Scarlett Johansson.

Only an idiot would have thought that Salt could gross more than Inception! Ahem. Both films had a big Friday, but it looks like Inception will wind up on top for a second straight weekend. Angelina Jolie's film will have to settle for being the Peyton Manning to Christoper Nolan's Tom Brady. Or is it the other way around? The Friday top-five after the jump.

Up in the air! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a frequently delayed superhero movie directed by an idiosyncratic arthouse fave and starring a (formerly) pudgy, foul-mouthed, fart-based stoner! Director Michel Gondry and stars Seth Rogen, along with everyone's favorite Nazi, Christopher Waltz, are hitting Comic-Con to explain to everyone that, no, no, Ryan Reynolds is in the Green Lantern.
Fire up the Black Beauty and come join me as I liveblog their Comic-Con panel (and probably constantly accidentally type Green Horny a thousand times) starting NOW.

According to TMZ, doctors are concerned the 93-year-old actress may have suffered a stroke. Movieline wishes Gabor a swift and forever fabulous recovery. [TMZ]
Though Katie Holmes couldn't make it to Comic-Con this year (perhaps spooked by the roaming gangs of pillbox hatted Jackie Kennedys), the director and producer of her next spooky thriller Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, Guillermo Del Toro and Troy Nixey, were on hand to tell all about the scary remake. And boy is Del Toro a delightfully foul-mouthed hobbit. Here are some of his swearingiest best quotes.

Welcome to Comic-Con, where even if you aren't tall enough to ride most rides as Six Flags, you can still get dressed up as a bat-wielding psychopath. But still be adorable!

Alan Ball has cast Bright Star actor Ben Whishaw as the lead in his newest mortality-related series for HBO, All Signs of Death. Whishaw will play a "twenty-something slacker who stumbles into a career as a crime scene cleaner, only to find himself entangled with a murder mystery, a femme fatale and the loose ends of his own past." Sounds intriguing...but not quite as intriguing as the role he could have had on Broadway. [Deadline]
Wedged waaaay at the end of Anne Thompson's Venice Film Festival notice is the news that Margaret -- the notoriously delayed Kenneth Lonergan drama that has been in editorial limbo since 2006 -- is completed and will arrive in theaters in 2011. Distributor Fox Searchlight issued the confirmation. The film features Anna Paquin as a teenager grappling with her involvement in a fatal traffic accident; her True Blood fans won't even recognize her. Developing... [TOH]
