· Everyone on the Internet loves cats, right? That's like a thing nowadays? Well, then (fancy) feast your eyes on this: Cat Diaries, a film shot by 25 cats for a Friskies ad campaign. The key is that each cat wore a camera around their neck, and walked around doing cat things. I know what you're thinking: Unfortunately, it wasn't eligible for a Golden Globe nomination this year. But next? Fingers crossed! Click ahead to watch and then stick around for more Buzz Break.

As this week's influx of critics group awards and Golden Globe nominations can confirm, there are really only a handful of films that will be up for Academy Awards in February. (See: The King's Speech, The Social Network, The Fighter, The Kids Are All Right and Black Swan.) Every year, though, the Academy not only overlooks great performances, but also a number of great films as well; some are too small, some are too broad, and in the case of documentaries, some just didn't make the first shortlist. With that in mind, let's step outside the fog of Oscar buzz for a second and take a look at 10 deserving films of 2010.

Parents around the nation breathed a sigh of relief last week when the MPAA overturned their initial NC-17 certification of Blue Valentine and replaced it with the more family-friendly R-rating. OK, maybe not. Though a great injustice was rectified, and just in time, too: The now-viable Blue Valentine has been picking up steady awards momentum from critics circles, and received two Golden Globe nominations earlier this morning for stars Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams. Does director Derek Cianfrance blame the MPAA for putting his nearly decade-in-the-making bit of awards-bait in peril?

So, yes, a group of anonymous hackers broke into Gawker's system and compromised the security of up to 1.3 billion users in what some are calling one of the largest attacks on a media site to date. But, depending on your level of paranoia, it gets worse. Others have argued that this attack - taken with the recent attacks on Visa, Mastercard and PayPal in response of Wikileaks reprimands - signals a new era of cyber-terrorism where small groups can wreak mass amounts of havoc at will. After taking all of this in, I did what I usually do when the news unsettles me a bit: I thought about movies. Then I realized that a sharp rise in cyber-terrorism will probably ruin movies too.

Year-end lists are great! But as we've learned in the past few years, they aren't enough for this tech-savy age. No, we need end-of-year video montages too. Extremely comprehensive end-of-year-montages. Well, two particularly well-edited ones have just popped up; one counting down the top 100 viral videos of the year and one just paying homage to the avalanche of movies, good and bad, that reigned down on us during 2010. So join me for a trip down memory lane and try to decide whether the year's best entertainment was delivered in a movie theater or on cell phones and laptops.

You know what's better than winning most of the best picture awards? Winning all of them. Or so it would seem. The San Francisco Film Critics and The Toronto Film Critics have both announced their awards and The Social Network came out on top again, right on the heels of its Best Picture awards from New York Film Critics Online, New York Film Critics circle and the AFI/Los Angeles Film Critics one-two combo. However, there are still a few interesting choices in this batch of winners including a Best Actress win for Michelle Williams and some well-deserved love for Exit Through the Giftshop and Uncle Boonmee who can Recall His Past Lives. Read on for the full list!

No sooner had the 2010 Black List been announced this morning than the griping began. First came the instant message from a frustrated screenwriter pal: "at least there's no f***ing sorkin." Then a steady trickle of bile puddled at the bottom of Deadline's coverage, where commenters amassed to judge, nitpick and/or hate on everything from Hollywood's taste to the prowess of certain producers and agents at gaming the system for this very moment. And, of course, the old, bitter chestnut: "It would be great for Leonard to solicit a more refined list of most liked scripts that truly are unproduced -- no producers attached."

The way music is used in film makes for an interesting marriage. For every unmemorable movie made memorable because of a perfectly placed pop song, there is an unremarkable song turned iconic by its inclusion great film. There isn't anything inherently brilliant about Donovan's "Atlantis," but when Martin Scorsese used the song during the Billy Batts scene in Goodfellas, it became brilliant. Don't ask me to explain; that's just the way these things work. Who were the Donovans of 2010? Ahead, Movieline offers up the five best music cues of the year.

· Every person on the Internet has sent you the alternate ending for Yogi Bear in the last 30 minutes, but that doesn't mean you can't watch it all over again. And again. And again. At least until the clip gets yanked down. Per comedian Paul Scheer, this homage to The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford was done by 25-year-old animator Edmund Earle, who should now get a Medal of Freedom. Or something. Click ahead to watch post-haste, then stick around for more Buzz Break.

Piers Morgan is preparing for the January launch of his new CNN talk show like any good muckraker should in the year 2010: By attacking Madonna? Wait, maybe that should read 2000. "She is too vegan for TV," Morgan told the Daily Express. "We have Lady Gaga now so Madonna is banned from my show." Who could argue with logic like that? Other than Madonna's publicist, of course.

While critics and awards groups spent the weekend fawning over The Social Network, one star-studded awards show went down with little acknowledgment of the critical juggernaut. Last night, our parent company MMC helped honor film and television fashion at the 2010 Hollywood Style Awards with The Palazzo Las Vegas, Klipsch and FRS® Healthy Energy® (Or, let's say "The Hollywood Style Awards" for short). While they chose not to honor Mark Zuckerburg's admirable tenacity to shorts and sandals, the event did yield a possible hint about Finn and Rachel's relationship on Glee, news from Kate Bosworth that T-shirts are still in style and more. Here's a rundown of the prizes and a few highlights from coverage so far.
