Human Centipede Claims Another Trauma Victim in Donnie Wahlberg

Movieline has a storied past with Human Centipede, a film that I consider a beacon of hope for rectal seamstresses everywhere. Some people aren't so chipper about the movie's after-effects, and one such doubter is New Kid on the Block/Blue Bloods star Donnie Wahlberg, who is seriously traumatized by the hundred-legged, coprophaghic sensation of light, sound, and ass. Watch this survivor tell his story on video.

See the New Poster for Footloose: Kick Up Your Sunday Snooze!

Remember almost exactly a year ago when the unknown Kenny Wormald was announced as the Footloose remake's Kevin Bacon proxy, and for approximately 16 minutes you mulled him over? And how he could be named Kenny -- so thoughtlessly -- like some glib Loggins tribute artist? The first poster of Wormald in the film has surfaced, and he appears at peace with your concerns. Roger Ebert Responds to Ryan Dunn Twitter Controversy

As more details emerge about the single-car accident that killed Jackass star Ryan Dunn and passenger Zachary Hartwell -- an Iraq war veteran who was recently married, according to MTV -- the story has been overshadowed by a controversial tweet from film critic Roger Ebert, and an angered response from Dunn's best friend and Jackass cohort Bam Margera. In an effort to quell the outrage, Ebert took to his blog on Tuesday morning to clarify his remarks.

Jake Gyllenhaal Goes Wild

A year after headlining one of summer's most ambitious blockbusters, Jake Gyllenhaal has advanced to what anybody would consider the logical next step: A guest spot on the season premiere of Man vs. Wild. The actor accompanied host Bear Grylls to Iceland for the episode airing July 11; according to a Discovery Channel press release, "Jake will have to go where Bear goes, eat whatever Bear eats, and on occasion even take the lead, if he's going to cope with some of the worst conditions known to man." Do with this information what you will. [via EW]

Report: William Shatner Probably Won't Appear in Star Trek 2

Star Trek 2 still doesn't have an official director -- J.J. Abrams has yet to confirm his involvement, though it is widely assumed he'll be back -- but that doesn't mean there isn't time to speculate about whether William Shatner will make an appearance. You'll recall that Abrams had planned to include a Shatner-as-Captain Kirk cameo in Star Trek, but that didn't work out. ("We tried desperately to put him in the movie, but he was making it very clear that he wanted the movie to focus on him significantly, which, frankly, he deserves," said Abrams.) Will things be different for the sequel?

Paramount Pictures Will Release the Next Warren Beatty Film

Hollywood legend Warren Beatty caused quite a stir two weeks ago at the Los Angeles Times Hero Complex Film Festival when he teased the possibility of a sequel to Dick Tracy. "I'm gonna make another one," he said. Though maybe "another one" was simply code for another movie. For the first time since the disastrous Town & Country was released in 2001, Beatty has another film project in the works.

Guillermo Del Toro May Be Too Busy for Hellboy III

Hellboy comic creator Mike Mignola is shedding doubt on the possibility for a Hellboy III, suggesting that director Guillermo del Toro is quite unlikely to get around it. "Last I heard he said he would not make it," Mignola said at the Calgary Comics Expo. "Guillermo -- who I love -- in every interview there's a new story on what his next movie is and he honestly believes he's going to do all these things....I'm not surprised because he won't live long enough to do a tenth of the movies he's told me he's going to make." In the immediate future, del Toro will film Pacific Rim. [Cinema Blend]
