The 8 Actors Diane Keaton Has Hooked Up With Onscreen This Decade

I have not yet seen Morning Glory, but based entirely on the smoldering sexagenarian chemistry between Diane Keaton and Harrison Ford in the trailer, I am willing to bet half of my tailored white pantsuit collection that their warring talk show hosts engage in some form of spontaneous hate sex during the film. In anticipation of this -- and in celebration of Diane Keaton's ability to bag dudes onscreen when most actresses her age are cast as grandmothers and corpses -- here is a list of all eight men the neurotically endearing (and sometimes just neurotically annoying) actress has romanced onscreen in the last decade.

9 Other Roger Ebert Pans That Would Look Great on a DVD Cover

The awesome inclusion of a Roger Ebert pan on an Asian DVD cover recently got me thinking: Imagine how great it might be if all of Ebert's targets took advantage of his bile to get the viral word out. Here are a few I could see benefiting from it right away; feel free to suggest others.

Come On, Get Happy: 5 Reasons to be Excited for the Next 8 Weeks

The cover of New York this week reads as follows: "Don't worry. Seriously. Things are looking up." And, hey, with the country more divided than ever and everything else pretty much sucking -- grumble, grumble, insert complaints here -- why shouldn't we all find a little room for some blind optimism? Yes, even us.

Pop Quiz: Is Denzel Washington Talking About Unstoppable or Pelham 123?

This weekend, Denzel Washington stars in the Tony Scott-directed, train-gone-amok thriller, Unstoppable. About a year and a half ago, I used almost the exact same sentence to describe the Denzel Washington-starring, Tony Scott-directed, train-gone-amok thriller, The Taking of Pelham 123. It was hard not to notice some... let's say, similarities in some of the discussions that took place at the press conferences for both films. So, to test your knowledge of Tony Scott train movies, see if you can guess if the following Denzel Washington quotes are from this weekend's Unstoppable or last year's The Taking of Pelham 123.

Who Should Replace Gene Shalit on Today? (Hint: Me)

It's a sad day in film culture: After 40 years of raining puns, ridicule and unabashed blurb-addled ecstasy on morning-TV viewers across America, movie critic Gene Shalit is packing up his bow tie and retiring from Today. Shalit made the announcement in a press release, adding that his future plans "embrace publishing, the Internet, radio and commercials." Are you thinking what I'm thinking? No, not "Good luck." More like, "Job opening!"

The buzz on Unstoppable has been decidedly low-key over the last couple of weeks, but that will all probably change over the weekend. 7 Milestones in the Evolution of Robert Downey Jr.

As has been well-documented here, Robert Downey Jr. stars in this weekend's new A-list comedy release, Due Date. But I was wondering: How did Downey get to this point from his big screen debut at the age of 5? You can always trace a direct line through a handful of roles to illustrate what led to an actor's current success, but with Downey, that line has more ups and downs than most elevators in Hollywood. So let's look at seven performances -- including his very first -- that trace the evolution of one Robert John Downey Jr.

'I'm Just a Bill' and 5 Other Videos That Will Guilt You Into Voting

Election day: It's not just a fun song by Duran Duran spin-off group Arcadia! It's also a day where we, in theory, elect the fine citizens who will represent us in the government. Over the years, many public service announcements have been produced in order to educate us about how government works, or, to inspire us to perform our civic duty and vote. If you haven't voted yet today, perhaps one of these find videos will educate and/or guilt you into hitting your local polling station. If not, the "I'm Just A Bill" song is catchy enough that it's an enjoyable way to spend three minutes.

'Bitch' Back: 25 Other Words Oprah Should Ban from the OWN Network

Oprah Winfrey announced an important artistic impulse today at Maria Shriver's high-falutin' Women's Conference in California: The word "bitch" won't be uttered on the OWN Network. Sayeth the Oprah, OWN will be "fun and entertaining without tearing people down and calling them bitches. Imagine that. Imagine." Preach. But I can think of 25 other words that deserve a spot on OWN's blacklist.

Can Hosting Saturday Night Live Win You an Oscar? A Movieline Investigation

It was reported this week that Jeff Bridges will hosting Saturday Night Live on Dec. 18, his first hosting appearance since 1983 (when he co-hosted with his brother, Beau). Coincidentally, not only will Bridges be starring in Tron: Legacy that month, but he'll also be in the thick of an Oscar campaign for True Grit, vying for the first back-to-back Best Actor win since Tom Hanks pulled the trick in 1993-1994. Meanwhile Anne Hathaway, also in the Oscar mix for her performance in Love and Other Drugs, will be hosting on Nov. 20. Which got me thinking: Can the added buzz from hosting SNL actually help the chances of a win or even a nomination? Let's investigate!

A Mundane Day for Batman: 21 Rejected Titles for The Dark Knight Rises

Earlier today it was announced that the next film in Christopher Nolan's Batman series will be titled The Dark Knight Rises. A title which is, well, less than exciting. Look, it's always dangerous to speculate what the plot of a film will be based on a title alone. But, based on the actual title, 20 more deciphered rejected titles, and the fact that The Riddler will not appear in the next installment, we at Movieline feel fairly confident that we've pieced together what happens to The Dark Knight after he rises.

Play Ball: 20 Suggested Titles for Disney's Inevitable Rangers or Giants Underdog Movie

Hey, the World Series starts tomorrow! If you didn't know (and some of you very well might not know, considering the ratings expected for this thing), the Fall Classic will pit the San Francisco Giants against the Texas Rangers, and it's especially important this year because of each team's historical postseason futility: The Giants have not won a World Series since 1954, and the Rangers have never even been in a World Series. In short, we've got underdog vs. underdog -- and you can bet Disney is watching.
