Thor 2 Sets Mads Mikkelsen As Villain
Fitting: It looks like Thor 2 is getting a true Norse villain in Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen, who Variety reports is in talks to join the Marvel sequel. With TV veteran Alan Taylor (The Sopranos, Mad Men, Game of Thrones) directing, the film will reportedly begin filming this summer for a November 2013 release. Meanwhile, details on Mikkelsen's character remain unknown, though Tom Hiddleston's Loki is expected to return. So speculate away on which baddie Mikkelsen might play! I think that he could easily be Malekith the accursed. Think about it Malekith is a dark elf who is half in the realm of the dead and half in the realm of the elves. He would know what Loki got himself into with Thanos who is banned from the realm of the dead. He could potential wield the Soul Gem and control the souls of the dead and lead them to take over all nine realms.
