VIDEO: A Brief History of Gangster Wife Couture

This is fun: "When I was making this supercut, I was especially impressed by The Godfather Part III. Widely regarded as the worst movie in the series, and maybe one of the worst movies ever, this cinematic mess had my favorite outfits." Fair enough, but I totally overlooked Lorraine Bracco's incredible Goodfellas wardrobe all this time. What a fox.

Exactly how is The Godfather Part III one of the worst movies ever?

    • S.T. VanAirsdale says:

You'll have to take that up with the editor of the supercut. I would say it's a bit of an overreaction myself, though the omission of Robert Duvall over the matter of a few backend points is an unconscionable and indelible historical blight.

  • Patrick Hallstein / McEvoy-Halston says:

I think (or rather, hope) in the same way Ebert gave thumbs down to Full Metal Jacket -- that is, in regards to what the film-maker was capable of.

For a discussion of Godfather 3 I really enjoyed, check out Siskel and Ebert's. Like them, I really enjoyed Pacino and Kay's later-life encounter(ing) with one another. That's the part I keep with me.

All I remember is a dissolve to them walking down some rustic Sicilian road after Kay comes to see the opera debut, and Michael turns to her and shoots her the shit-eatingest paycheck grin you've ever seen outside a Rob Schneider movie.

Thanks for reminding me (again) of what a stunner Diane Keaton was/is. Just gorgeous...and Sharon Stone was not too bad-looking, either. Paz Vega? Butterface...
