Harvey Weinstein Thinks You've Never Heard of Tom Hardy
Oh, Harvey: “We have a star in Tom Hardy who’s completely anonymous right now. If you go to a line at the ArcLight nobody would know who he is. [...] He’s going to be a huge movie star by August.” [LAT]

That's the best he could come up with?
Isn't there like a Catwoman movie with this guy in it? I think it's coming out soon.
I heard of Tom Hardy. Before he became an actor he wrote "Tess Of The D'Ubervilles" and other books. 0_o
This is unfortunately true. Most North Americans appear to not be aware of Tom Hardy. Personally, I have a lot of friends who couldn't recall who he was until I reminded them about his role in Inception. Said friends are not dim or in any way out-of-the-loop, either. It's weird.
The Dark Knight Rises will defintely change all of that, though.
Thanks to Harvey, maybe Tom Hardy will finally get starring roles in movies. Now if only someone with power could give a push to this Will Smith fellow I've heard rumblings about.
Good old Harvey, always did have his finger on the pulse.
Uh... guys. He's completely right.
Seriously, not everybody reads film blogs like this one. Most people would never have heard of him.
You have all fallen prey to the fallacious logic that comes from living in a pop culture obsessed echo chamber.
And I should know. I invented it.

Jeez, idiots! Bronson was amazing, Inception was out of this world! Warrior was ridiculously cool! Band Of Brothers, Black Hawk Down, Layer Cake, Rock-N-Rolla. yeah, he's a nobody!!!
Yet the chick at Chipotle knew who frigging Channig Tatum was when he was in line in front of us. PRETTY SURE most people that see films know who the F Tom effing Hardy is. He's an exceptional talent. Women AND men love him.
