Worst Movie EVER! Can Now Be Yours Online For $5

Today in Worst Movie EVER! news: The infamous $11 mockbuster has a new Web site where you can download the movie for the low, low price of $5. Yes, $5. We might double this thing's gross by lunchtime! But wait, there's more!

Filmmaker Glenn Berggoetz is pledging a "reward paid in nickels" for any evidence leading to the identification of Viewer Zero, i.e. the lone man or woman who paid admission to see WME! in its brief midnight engagement at the Laemmle Sunset 5. It's increasingly harder for me to believe that this person has not yet come forward or been positively ID'd, but hey. If a reward in nickels won't draw someone out of hiding, nothing will.

Berggoetz also now offers the film's soundtrack ("Composed and performed by Norwegian Soft Kitten. It's completely free! It's not very good!") and promises a dubbed version of WME! for the film's burgeoning Italian following (I can't make it up, seriously). Other international distribution arrangements are reportedly forthcoming, as are future screenings in the U.S. -- starting this Wednesday at the Alamo Drafthouse in Winchester, Va. Or, again, you can just cut out the middle man and revel in the box-office bottom-scraping for a mere fiver. Just putting it out there.

Dear S.T., Thank you for continuing to write about this movie. The contributions of yourself and other web-based writers have increased this modest little project's visibility a hundredfold. The YouTube upload of the trailer has rocketed from less than four thousand views to well past a hundred thousand in less than a week. I know all the people behind the scenes appreciate it. Thanks again.
