Can you imagine the line of grinning foreign ambassadors spouting "How do you say... how is it that you are liking those apples?" at every diplomatic function. On a more serious note, how about Robert Redford? Step up, golden boys. Film is over. Life has become media. Politics, entertainment. At least get us an A-lister in the prime ceremonial role.

He's too good, too genuine, a person, and such things pretty much aren't allowed anymore. I'd be for it just so we could better ID the sane amongst us. Secret society of those who actually give a shit for teachers, rather than ONLY AFTER we've crippled their unions, broken their spirit, put-in-line their wages, and otherwise brought them all a little closer to us.
