Does Dungeons and Dragons Comedy Knights of Badassdom Have the Year's Funniest Trailer?
You can finally call Comic-Con over, because the funniest trailer to emerge from the cosplayer cotillion is here: Knights of Badassdom casts Steve Zahn, True Blood star Ryan Kwanten, Peter Dinklage, Patrick Stewart, and our man Danny Pudi as Dungeons and Dragons aficionados who "accidentally open up an otherworldly portal and unleash a real-life demon onto the playing field." Watch the very funny (and cute!) trailer after the jump.
The first line alone is a killer: "In a world... in our world... they've created a world... unlike any other world." Perfection. I particularly adore when Steve Zahn is told that he's "summoned a succubus from hell" and he responds, "Sorry." Real-life cosplayers are polite people -- even the Mortal Kombat "lasses.
Patrick Stewart is a riot, too, in his brief part here. Here's hoping they can defeat the portal-hopping demon and return to their cul de sacs before dark.
VERDICT: These dorks will slay you.

It's time for the adult punishment system to get up-to-date with the adolescent criminal system. They don't care about anyone except themselves and it's foolish to listen to their excuses - all of which are false. Lock 'em up till they're too old to inbreed and when the prisons get full, the Atlantic Ocean is big and deep. While we're doing that we can talk about the source issues of how to save the next generation. It's already late, so wake up to reality, politicians and people. There is no softly, softly approach that can change them.
