Meet Hit Girl: The Youngest Cosplayer at Comic-Con?
As part of our continuing Comic-Con coverage this year, Movieline is profiling some of the most elaborate cosplayers roaming the San Diego Convention Center halls. Yesterday's subjects were a heavily armed duo seeking directions; today's profilee had a guide -- in the form of her father as the DIY superhero Kick-Ass. Read on for an introduction to one of Comic-Con's youngest (and shyest) cosplayers.

Parenting fail?
I am her aunt and she has never seen the movie! You don't know her parents so how can you say it is parenting fail. I really don't understand why people are so judgmental, get a life.

I'm a little confused by the title of this article questioning whether a 9 year old is the youngest cosplayer. I saw several kids under 9 in costume.
My niece, 8, dressed up as an "Empty Child" from Doctor Who. It was her idea, she loves the show. She was stopped for pictures about every 20 feet (luckily she is not as shy).
my daughter is 9, she played hitgirl at the last cosplay convention. yes, she've seen the movie (since she was 7) many times. she knows the bad words but never said any of those.
imho there's no parenting failure in there as long as you guide them in understanding the scenes.
she'll repeat the performance in the grand coplay event but with complete weapons.
