· "From the skeleton of the script, the plane ride became wildly improvised. Melissa's talking about putting a Nano up my butt, or up her butt--the Nano was going up someone's butt. I ruined millions of takes by laughing. In the scene outside the bathroom, she had to say, 'Let's go to the restroom--and not rest,' and after that she was free to improv. She had such good ones that I ruined. Like she said, 'Do you like this leg? I got another one just like it. I can put them both over my head and comb my goddamn hair.'" And yet A is not for Victory. Are we meant to assume that A is a short-hand name for Capt America? When has anyone ever called him A without being derogatory? Why would anyone call anyone A? Or is it merely trying to piggyback on a well-known wartime phrase (a British phrase mostly, if memory serves) by inserting a letter that actually stands for the character? There's a dissonance here that can't be avoided. If you went around shouting A is for Victory, people would think you're loony. Why would anyone in the film's reality buy this message? Well, it's hot here, so maybe I don't understand. Seems it was hot too wherever they made this image.
