· Another dude with a beard will attend Comic-Con this year, though this particular guy likely won't wear a Battlestar Galactica t-shirt. Deadline reports that Steven Spielberg is headed to San Diego for the first time ever with fresh footage from The Adventures of Tintin in tow. A potentially groundbreaking film with many questions marks getting a push from its world-famous director at Comic-Con? Where have we seen that before? · Uh-oh. According to a report on Access Hollywood, star Mila Kunis might not be able to attend the Marine Corps Ball with Sgt. Scott Moore due to scheduling conflicts with Oz: The Great and Powerful. Before you get out the pitchforks and torches, however, note that E! claims Kunis's representatives are trying to bend her schedule around the event. Considering the bad press that will come from canceling on Moore, let's hope they figure it out. [E! Online, Gawker]
· Gazillionaire Harry Potter producer David Heyman is close to locking in on his next project. THR reports that Heyman is interested in producing an adaptation of Night Circus for Summit Entertainment. The Erin Morgenstern novel is about two young magicians, their warring fathers and a circus. · Warner Bros. is hoping people really love Vikings. The studio picked up The Vanguard, a pitch from Chris Boal about Viking brothers that Alexander Skarsgard is attached to star in and produce. [Variety]
· Speaking of Warner Bros., the studio will release The Seventh Son with Jeff Bridges, Ben Barnes and Julianne Moore on Feb. 15, 2013. Plan ahead! [Deadline]
· Bridesmaids scene stealer Wendi McLendon-Covey has been added to the cast of What to Expect When You're Expecting. She'll play a friend and co-worker of Jennfier Lopez.
