Early Box Office Results Show Harry Potter Taking Over the World

Based on the worldwide box office returns for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 so far, it looks like Warner Bros. might want to invest in another vault at Gringotts. The highly anticipated Harry Potter finale earned $43.6 million on its opening day overseas, setting records in France, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Holland, Denmark, Belgium, Finland and Australia. Per the Los Angeles Times, the opening day sales are 82 percent higher than what The Deathly Hallows Part 1 earned in the same territories last year. Goodness. It's as if Potter tickets have been hexed with a Gemino curse. [LAT/Company Town]

Saw it last night-The few reviewers on here are WRONG! We (as well as the rest of the theatre) was laughing so hard! It was by the the funniest comedy (and best casting) in a comedy EVER. Funnier than The Hangover, b/c w/o Zach Galinfinkis), hangover would not have been funny-or original. I was not bored at any point-and I'm always fidgety in a theatre. I think reviewers are very biased about certain actors (ahem, Aniston), who is not the central character of this movie. Bateman, Day, and esp. Sudekeis, make this a must-see and must-own movie period. And Seth Gordan (Modern Family, The Office, etc) plus Brett Ratner? Come on-either you do not have a sense of humor or you are doing a good movie a disservice. (A-)
