Check Out Tintin and Snowy in New Look at The Adventures of Tintin
It's bad when images from a movie directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Peter Jackson call to mind those crudely animated Empire carpet commercials, but such is life for The Adventures of Tintin. The motion-capture spectacle (with Jamie Bell voicing the titular adventurer) arrives in theaters this Christmas, and looks about as comfortable in the uncanny valley as The Polar Express. This is not a good thing. Still, cute dog! Click through for another look at Tintin and his trusty canine companion, Snowy.
Tintin hits theaters on Dec. 23.

I'll stick with Gromit.
These bastards! They continue to ruin our childhoods. Herge could pull more realistic emotion out of the two black dots and two lines he used for the eyes and eyebrows than these idiots can do with all their terrible motion capture "technology".

I truly am burnt-out on glossy-eyed, cadavre-like CGI mo-cap creations. Polar Express nearly ruined Christmas for me. And TinTin seriously looks like Tilda Swinton. I remember people making jokes about that after I had already seen early pictures, and I later that day saw a picture of the character out the corner of my eye and went, "Oh hey! What's Tilda up to these days? DAMNIT-fooled again!"
