You'll Never Guess Which 3 Stars Could Have Back-to-Back $200 Million Hits
Further proof that Hollywood is not necessarily beholden to movie stars for guaranteed gargantuan grosses at the box office? For three Transformers: Dark of the Moon co-stars, the Michael Bay-directed film will be their second this summer to crack the $200 million plateau in worldwide earnings. Can you guess which three? Hint: not Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley or Optimus Prime.
Drumroll, please! As Gitesh Pandya from Box Office Guru pointed out earlier on Wednesday, Transformers co-stars Tyrese Gibson (Fast Five), John Turturro (Cars 2; which is on track to speed pass $200 million in the coming weeks), and Ken Jeong (The Hangover Part II) will all get to pop champagne on a second double-century hit.
That might not sound too crazy, but consider this: Ryan Reynolds, an actual (almost) A-lister, has two films coming out within a few months of each other (Green Lantern, The Change-Up), and he'll be lucky if they make $300 million combined. Apples and oranges, but still: shocking! To paraphrase The Player: Stars, now less than ever.

No offense, but neither of these 3 are THE major draw for any of the films mentioned. MAYBE Ken Jeong is a partial draw for Hangover, but that's about it. Again, no offense to the actors. I like them all. Ryan Reynolds has to carry those films with top billing.
also Rose Byrne with Bridesmaids and X-Men 2, not a major movie star with two big international hits back to back
