James Cameron Will Battle the Unemployment Rate With Avatar Sequels

JamesCameron300.jpgThe President of the United States may not be able to improve the country's unemployment rate these days, but fear not! Oscar-winning Titanic director James Cameron is here with two mega-budget Avatar sequels that experts hope will jumpstart the economy.

While Cameron is still writing the films that he plans on shooting back to back and then releasing in 2014 and 2015, experts are already forecasting how the movies will boost economic fortunes, at least in the entertainment industry.

As Peter Gend, visual effects instructor at the Art Institute of California in Los Angeles, tells Fox News:

"It's absolutely going to generate jobs. There is a plethora of visual effects artists and a lot of them are out of work right now, so it's a really great place to get a lot of talented people. [...] What goes into his motion capture process is really different than what anyone else does."

If you're looking for a precise number of jobs that Cameron is expected to create, the director's Avatar co-producer Jon Landau has that figure. Per Fox, Laundau "is anticipating that more than 700 jobs will be created for the two productions, which are slated to be bigger and better than ever."
