Jake Gyllenhaal Goes Wild
A year after headlining one of summer's most ambitious blockbusters, Jake Gyllenhaal has advanced to what anybody would consider the logical next step: A guest spot on the season premiere of Man vs. Wild. The actor accompanied host Bear Grylls to Iceland for the episode airing July 11; according to a Discovery Channel press release, "Jake will have to go where Bear goes, eat whatever Bear eats, and on occasion even take the lead, if he's going to cope with some of the worst conditions known to man." I'm waiting for the inevitable comment referencing Brokeback Mountain.
I contemplated their camping out one night on Iceland's fabled Bjokeback glacier, but... yeah. Anyway.
