Daniel Radcliffe Really Hopes 'Pottermore' Isn't Another Harry Potter Book

The Internet was abuzz with speculation last week about what exactly Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling was planning with the mysterious new website Pottermore. Another Potter tome? An encyclopedia? An online role-playing game? A theme park? Well, whatever Pottermore turns out to be, count Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe among those not interested in seeing more adventures of the Boy Who Lived.

"I know nothing about that whatsoever," Radcliffe told the Los Angeles Times about the site. "I'm sure that Jo will be writing a lot more in the coming years. I'm sure she has a lot more in her than we've read and a lot more stories to tell. As long as they don't involve Harry, I'm quite happy to buy them."

As for playing Harry again, Radcliffe also seems totally ready to move on:

"I'd be very skeptical about that. First of all, I don't think that she will [write another Potter installment], and second of all, oh, I don't know, the idea of going back to something after 10 or 20 years? At that point, I will have worked 20 years to establish a career outside of it, and at that point to go back to it would feel a little self-defeating. "I could feel completely different at that time, but at this moment, it feels like it would be strange and not the way it would or should go."

Good call, Daniel! Now, why don't you use some of those nifty spells to help everyone figure out what Pottermore really is? The waiting until its June 23 reveal feels like the Cruciatus Curse come to life.

He seems confident about his post-Harry Potter career.

He says "I will have worked 20 years to establish a career outside of it". It doesn't say "I will have a long, successful 20-year career of acting." Besides, he seems to be doing a damn good job so far.

Plus, he's wonderful in How to Succeed on Broadway. I don't think we have to worry about Daniel Radcliffe having a very long and excellent career. Just sayin'.
