David Letterman Calls Jim Carrey a Liar (Liar), and a Good Time Ensues!
Time again to remind you of life's most trustworthy truisms: 1) David Letterman is -- and always will be -- the king of late night, and 2) Jim Carrey is not just an A-List movie star, but perhaps the single greatest talk show guest of the past 20 years. Even when he's accused of "plagiarism," he shoots his pupils around, juts his jaw like an angered Katharine Hepburn, and comes out on top.
Oh, we all copy Tom Hanks sometimes, right? Hard not to pilfer a bit from the man who gave us Punchline.

At which point did the live studio audience wonder to themselves, "Hmmm, I think I've heard someone else tell this story already..." (you can hear them go a little quiet). And then at which point did they realize "Ahh, Carrey's doing a piece here."
He is brilliant. Absolute gold for any host. An brilliantly physical in his comedy. But in this instance, it was great to see Hanks and remember just what a talent he is at it also.
it was obviously planned....
Now that was funny. I always been a fan of Carrey ever since In Living Color. Yes his movie status isn't what it use to be but the dude still is funny as hell! One of the best. Take this bit for an example. If I had a talk show, Carrey would be a regular.
David Letterman "king of late night" hahaha. what a joke.
Umm. . . is Johnny Carson chopped liver? Letterman doesn't touch that level of genius!
I agree. he is not funny. Plus the audience just claps like anything for what?
