Will Alec Baldwin Discontinue His Awesome Twitter Account?

Bad news, friends: the great Alec Baldwin Joins Twitter experiment of 2011 could be over. "I can't believe I was hacked," he wrote on the social networking site on Wednesday morning. "Very good possibility that this means good bye [sic] twitter [sic]." Nooooo! But, wait, is Baldwin serious?

Perhaps? Late Tuesday night he was emphatic about the hacking, writing, "It's official.... I've been hacked. I am NOT kidding." But then he started kidding:

10:58p: "The hacker wrote about seeing double. And trade marked Courvoisier. The bastard!"

10:58p: "My phone is tapped. There's a charge for male escorts on my cc. Someone's outside my window!"

Of course, sleeping on things could have made Baldwin more incensed about the whole thing, leading to the Wednesday morning goodbye threat. Who knows? Here's hoping that the Rock of Ages star isn't serious, however -- Baldwin's Twitter feed has become required reading around Movieline HQ; we'll be lost without him!
