Stephen Baldwin Suggests You Enjoy the Bible Instead of Thor This Summer
While at a screening for Kenneth Branagh's superhero adventure last night, Celebrity Apprentice alum Stephen Baldwin suggested that members of the press skip the screening altogether in favor of, well, finding salvation. "You should go home right after this," Baldwin told Vulture. "Don't even see Thor and get down with the gospel of salvation and have fun with it." So yeah, there's that option this summer. [Vulture]

Is there any better advertisement to NOT read the bible than Stephen Baldwin endorsing it?
I'm not reading/ studying the Bible b/c of Baldwin's endorsement. I read/ study the Bible b/c it is the one source of truth that never changes.
If you are just reading and studying the Bible, you aren't doing it right. You're supposed to get down with it and have fun with it.
I wasn't going to watch Thor, I was going to watch Sharks In Venice. Is that still OK?
So you read the original Hebrew, Aramaic, Koine Greek, etc version? Or the (very incorrectly and poorly) translated King James version? You read all the books of the Gospel or just the select few chosen by a some power hungry people because it pushed their agenda? Anyway, every one knows the 'true' word of God is the Koran. He spoke directly to an illiterate child molester, but too bad he didn't think to make him literate to write this stuff down himself, but left it up to a bunch of guys to do it 100 years after the fact when their stories didn't match...
so then why wasn't he studying the bible while making the easy money on Celebrity Apprentice??
Amen, Stephen. Everyone get right with God or get left behind in Hell.
It's typical anti-theist dogma to pretend to mind-read the writers of a book written literally thousands of years ago with little evidence to go on except...that very book. There's little evidence that the KJV was incorrectly translated and any errors made had no effect on the context of the passage. There's no evidence that the writers and Catholic Canon were power-hungry people with an agenda. And for someone who rejects translations of original languages, you seem to be unfamiliar with the arab language: Q'uran, not Koran. And the writers of the Gospels were either people who had been around Jesus for an extended period of time or people who knew those people. The Gospels are at worst second-hand accounts from eyewitnesses.
Of course, in your studies you should check out She Nailed a Stake Through His Head: Tales of Biblical Terror - featuring short stories by Lyda Morehouse, Catherynne Valente and others.
All based on the Bible, of course.
