What a fortuitous casting decision director -- and part-time honey badger -- Tarsem Singh made when he hired Henry Cavill to lead his 300-like new film Immortals. By the time the sword-and-sandals epic hits theaters on Nov. 11 (11-11-11, FTW!), Superman fever will be pitched at such high levels, that an additional box office burst may be found simply because Immortals stars the Man of Steel. Also, Mickey Rourke as the murderous King Hyperion. Of course. Click ahead to watch.

Cavill looks great, but the film looks bad to me.
As I said when I first saw it:
Henry Cavill’s acting was very eyeopening. Atrocious and almost mortifying.
Trailer reminds me a little of Clash Of The Titans. Movie could be bad, not quite sure what I think yet, but there's enough really sweet eye-candy that I'm going to see it anyway. 😉
It has style, it has good CG... which count for nothing if the story and script are bad.
But it seems to be the theme now in cinema to push out movies of short-term spectacle for those inflated 3D ticket prices.
