Donald Trump Blasts Robert De Niro: 'He's Not the Brightest Bulb on the Planet'
On Saturday, Robert De Niro sat down with NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams for a sprawling conversation at this year's Tribeca Film Festival which covered everything from an upcoming collaboration with Martin Scorsese to De Niro's annoyance with Republican "birthers" like Donald Trump who are questioning President Obama's birth certificate. "I won't mention names, but certain people in the news the last couple weeks, just, what are they doing?" De Niro said. "Go get the facts before you start saying things about people." Just two days later, Trump has responded.
The potential presidential candidate turned to Fox & Friends this morning to address De Niro. "I like his acting, but in terms of when I watch him doing interviews and various other things, we're not dealing with Albert Einstein. He can say what he wants but the fact is that this guy has not revealed his birth certificate, a lot of people agree with me."
Like Meat Loaf and Gary Busey, who supported Trump's bid for president on Celebrity Apprentice last night.
Should entertainment personalities who seek political advice from Meat Loaf ever be allowed to dismiss a two-time Oscar winner like that? Please discuss in the comment section below. In the meantime, it's your move Mr. De Niro.

"Not the brightest bulb on the planet" is not even a thing.
Yeah and Trumps a genius right? I love it when he says "a lot of people agree with me." Like that's some evidence that he knows what he's talking about. A lot people see eye to eye with Charles Manson, that doesn't exactly mean he knows what he talking about either.
Will somebody just find this guy's secret mistress or bastard children and put an end to this already?
Am I incorrect or did Trump not discount his own worthiness to run for office during last night's "Celeb Apprentice"?
(During the time when he was addressing the group as a whole and brought up the topic?)
Trump is burning his bridges. First Jerry and now Bob.
Thought De Nero's statement was well worded so as not
to offend. But not in Trump world. ..."a lot of people agree
with me", sad, just sad.
The New York Times always refers to Meat Loaf as Mr. Loaf Julie.
His name was Robert Paulson.
In La Donald's universe, DeNiro committed the unpardonable sin of NOT mentioning his name.
In Project Mayhem we have no names.
To this day I find it astonishing that anyone anywhere takes this clown seriously as he parades that hair around on his head.
