The Help Poster: Viola in Violet

The trailer for The Help worried us with its Blind Sidey condescension, but the new poster for the film presents Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Emma Stone, and Bryce Dallas Howard (who looks a lot like Ellie Kemper here) in a more positive, yellow-and-purple sorta light. Watch and judge.

Do the costumes here look extremely costume-y to anyone? Looks like a ladies' boarding school production of The Importance of Being Earnest. Is everyone sucking on the same cucumber sandwiches to achieve these sour faces? I'm not sure about the gold-and-purple color palette either. You obviously can't deny the power of Oscar-nominee Viola Davis, but I keep getting a sinking feeling about this movie. Anyone else?
