Sinister news in the rumor yard, dear teens: Since Matt Damon ditched the series, Aussie actor Joel Edgerton (of Animal Kingdom) may be cast as an agent named Martin who was part of a Treadstone-like program in the upcoming Bourne Legacy. Director Tony Gilroy reportedly wants Edgerton for the role, but the studio is concerned about his fame level and potential to star in the concurrently filmed Snow White movie (now that Hugh Jackman has dropped out). I'm personally ready for a female Bourne. Is it too late to suggest Marion Cotillard? In a flak jacket? And sensible trousers? UPDATE: Our pal Jeremy Renner got the part! [Deadline]

They should have cast Ian McShane. He could dispatch targets with the deep timbre of his gravely voice of authority, and blind the surveillance cameras with his icy stare of death. Ian McShane is so powerful, he could take out Chuck Norris without even trying. That's right, I said it.
