Wonder Woman Costume Update: Adrianne Palicki Will Actually Have 3 Different Superhero Outfits
A month ago, Warner Bros. released the first image of Adrianne Palicki as Wonder Woman in NBC's reboot and disappointingly, her body-hugging costume looked like a cheap get-up that sorority girls buy at Ricky's NYC for $29.99. Soon after, Palicki was photographed filming a scene in a slightly less sexy Wonder Woman costume, and fans assumed that Warner Bros. had taken their opinions into consideration and changed Palicki's costume accordingly. They were wrong.
According to Movieline's sister site TVLine, Warner Bros. has actually given Palicki three different Wonder Woman costumes of varying degrees of sexiness. You've already seen her first two looks (below), and NBC president Robert Greenblatt teased the third this morning.
"There was an initial outcry about the long pants -- you know, skintight pants as opposed to those little shorts [worn by Lynda Carter in the original TV series]," NBC president Robert Greenblatt told TVLine. "But the shorts were always planned. They are actually used in the final confrontation when she beats Veronica Cale [played by Elizabeth Hurley]."
So if you thought that first image of Wonder Woman (below, left) was sexy, just wait until you see Palicki in Lynda Carter-esque hot pants.
Which look would you rather wear trick-or-treating this fall? The first sexy Wonder Woman costume with latex pants, the slightly less sexy Wonder Woman costume with roomier pants, or the third costume boasting short shorts?

I vote for the Lynda Carter-esque short shorts of course.
All well and good that Adrianne Palicki is going to make a brief, token appearance in the iconic costume, but how often will she be seen wearing it if the series is actually picked up by NBC? Most likely the older fans are going to be given a one-time, all-too-brief glimpse of what Wonder Woman used to look like before the new production team tosses the "outdated, sexist" costume out the window for all time and moves on with the new--regardless of what the fans really want. (Better angry, dissatisfied fans than tepid ones, right, Mr. Greenblatt?)
You make "cheap get-up that sorority girls buy at Ricky’s NYC for $29.99" sound like it's a bad thing.
God I miss Lynda Carter. The 70s were an under-rated decade for sex appeal: long natural hair, tan lines, tight jeans, no makeup... We pale by comparison. All the same, I am going to see this remake on day 1!
I CANT WAIT JUST TO SEE THOSE HOT PANTS ADRIANNE WILL WEAR!!! JUST THAT!!!
AGREE.. ADRIANNE WILL SURELY LOOK GREAT WITH THOSE BIKINI .. LIKE WHAT LYNDA WORE..
Thank you for that sensible critique. Me and my neighbor have been just getting ready to perform a little research on this. We acquired a grab a book from our nearby library but I believe I discovered extra from this publish. I’m quite glad to see this kind of superb info staying shared freely on the market.
