Dave Franco Joins 21 Jump Street As Its Itsy-Bitsy Villain

We might be so over James Franco, but like a Kleenex box filled with soulful, squinty-eyed hipsters, there's another one to pop up and take his place. Yes, brother Dave Franco has just been cast in the 21 Jump Street movie, joining the already-cast undercover narcs Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill.

Franco will be playing the villain, the school's most popular kid (we buy it) who is also a notorious drug dealer (we also buy that). I just hope we can buy Dave as a menacing bad guy -- Hollywood is a pretty tiny town, but Franco is particularly wee, certainly shorter than his IMDB-listed 5'7. He's not ready to play Willow or anything, but I'm sure the movie's apple box budget just skyrocketed.

And if he takes inspiration for his role from anywhere, I hope he injects it with a little bit of the uncensored mania he had in his infamous Funny or Die clip.

Why so generous with the grade? I thought the whole thing was pretty dumb.
Is Dave Franco the one that was in the horrible final season of Scrubs?
