Friday Box Office: Hop Jumps To Number One Over Time-Jumping Jake Gyllenhaal
Despite it being about as fun as a tracheotomy, the Easter Bunny exposé Hop won the top spot this Friday night, sending the wibbley-wobbly timey-wimey Source Code to second place. If only you could crap candy too, Jake! And right behind dear ol' Jake was the haunted house antics of Insidious, scoring a close number three. Your Friday box office is here.

Time for Jake G. to realize he is not a leading man. He cannot open a movie.
I have to agree. Jake is a really good actor, but I think he works best as part of an ensemble cast. While it could be argued that "Hop", regardless of how putrid it might be, would beat most competition, it doesn't look like "Source Code" is going to make 20 mil this weekend.
It's also interesting to note that Sucker Punch fell out of the top five in the second week.
Adam Sandler and Will Smith are the only two actors who can truly open a movie, so Jake G shouldn't feel too badly about this. But yes, he is better suited for ensemble movies.
Hop is doing this well? Kaley Cuoco is great on the BB Theory, so that's nice for her, but that piece of junk doing so well says a lot about the intelligence of the average American.
Both movies look retarded, so, pass. I know that's not snarky or funny, but man, I can't wait for some non retarded movies to some out. Guess that's why there's netflix. *Loads L'Avventura for the billionth time*
