VIDEO: 5 Minutes From Your Highness Promises the Talkiest Medieval Stoner Movie of All Time
While the red-band trailers for Your Highness have offered more nudity and penis jokes than any 13-year-old could hope for, it has been a bit more difficult to tell whether the movie will actually be funny. It seems like it should be at least a little funny, with David Gordon Green, Danny McBride, Natalie Portman and James Franco combining forces to fight dragons and whatnot, but the trailers aren't really coming through with the big laughs. After watching these five minutes of the film, the funny jury is still out, but one thing is clear: Your Highness will be a little different than the trailers let on.
More to point, there is almost nothing but talking in these scenes. In fact, most of them seem like improvised exchanges in faux-British accents dragged out thirty seconds past the point where they were supposed to end. In some cases (the first scene), it kinda works; in others, not so much. Check them out below.
Your Highness hits theaters on April 8.

Why the heck didn't they just use their american accents throughout the film? Don't think I could stand 2+ hours of Franco, portman , and mcbride trying and failing a british accent. It's like nails on a chalkboard.
Sounds like McBride did use his American accent, at least sporadically.
Kröd Mändoon had scenes 10x funnier than anything in these clips, and it laid an egg on Comedy Central. Ironically, Kröd was played by British actor Sean Maguire, who used a very good American accent for the role.
