Latest Still from X-Men: First Class Hangs Massive Fighter Jet Over Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult
The recent successes of Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult have been a boon for Matthew Vaughn and X-Men: First Class. The young stars will lead their own tentpoles in 2012 (Hunger Games and Jack the Giant Killer, respectively), but they're supporting mutants in the '60s-set Marvel blockbuster due out in June. So what better time to remind people of that added starpower than with a new still that portends to a possible romance! Just one question: What's with that jet?
It's not even floating there via some Magneto wizardry; you can see the strings! Hopefully the mystery reveals itself on June 3 when X-Men: First Class comes out. In the meantime, at least some fans are excited about that plane. Sort of. "Aside from the SR-71A Blackbird model in there, this looks retarded," wrote one irate fan on the X-Men Facebook page where the still debuted. "I don't want a love story in my X-Men." Noted. Just maybe take it easy on the r-word?

What is this, this thing we're living through? The era of shit? Because it's starting to feel like the era of shit. Or the epoch of shit. It's like none of these suits remembers what shit looks like, so they're looking at dailies and stills from this and thinking, "Well this is some good shit!"
It isn't. It's just shit. Shitty shit. The shittiest shit that was ever shat.
Here, here!
People who say they don't want love in X-men movies annoy the stink outta me. Clearly they have never read any of the comic books, where love triangles, and relationships in general are EVERYWHERE! If you want a movie that is just a bunch of ripped guys running around with explosions everywhere go watch something else.
It's the patina of shit that causes me to take umbrage, not the romance.
It's a model in a wind tunnel. Come on people!
The X-Men have a Facebook page.
Party's not cool anymore. Wonder what's happenin' over at MySpace.
Looks like a wind tunnel test set up for a SR-71 Blackbird. Timing would be right considering when this film takes place.
