· As if the presence of producer Christopher Nolan weren't enough of an indication that Zack Snyder's Superman reboot was going to be like Batman Begins, Snyder has told the Los Angeles Times that it's going to be like Batman Begins. "Literally, the one thing that everyone can start to think about is that we're making a movie that finally goes with the approach that there's been no other Superman movies," Snyder said, as Richard Donner and Bryan Singer presumably slumped their shoulders. "If you look at Batman Begins, there's that structure, there's the canon that we know about and respect but on other hand there's this approach that pre-supposes that there haven't been any other movies. In every aspect of design and of story, the whole thing is very much from that perspective of respect the canon but don't be a slave to the movies." The proof of that might come from the title. The Times also reports that Snyder's Superman will likely be called Man of Steel, but no final decision has been made. [LAT/Hero Complex]

· Transformers: Dark of the Moon star Shia LaBeouf has become attached to Horns, the Mandalay Pictures adaptation of Joe Hill's novel of the same name. Horns follows Ig (LaBeouf), a young man who awakens after a blackout with horns growing out of his head. As you do. A mystery and murder investigation follow. Hill is Stephen King's son, which will be a fun fact to bore your date with when you see Horns sometime in the next couple of years. [Variety]

· This casting is so perfect there isn't much to say: Albert Brooks is in talks to play Paul Rudd's on-screen father in Judd Apatow's non-sequel sequel to Knocked Up. [Deadline]

· There was a brief period when it looked like Liam Neeson might not star in Taken 2, but apparently cooler heads prevailed during negotiations and a deal will be struck soon. Of course, that's kinda too bad considering the list of actors producer Luc Besson had lined up to potentially replace Neeson: Mickey Rourke, Ralph Fiennes, Ray Winstone, Sean Bean and Jason Isaacs. Um, yes please any of those guys. Maybe for Taken 3? [Deadline]

· How did Twentieth Century Fox executives allegedly respond to James Cameron when he brought them Avatar? "Is there any way to reduce this tree-hugging hippie crap?" Alas, there was not. [The Independent]

· It was Glee's turn to take the stage at PaleyFest on Wednesday night, and Ryan Murphy unveiled a truckload of spoilers. Movieline sister site TVLine has the details. One hint: Kurt and Blaine are going to prom! [TVLine]
