Witchy Women: Has Summit Found Its Next Twilight?
Summit Entertainment still has the final two installments of The Twilight Saga to bring in untold fortunes, but that doesn't mean the studio isn't thinking ahead. The Los Angeles Times reports that Summit is looking to make The Last Witch Hunter its next big franchise. The script -- about a man who hunts witches and warlocks -- was on the Black List in 2010, and the studio has apparently met with Breck Eisner to discuss directing. No casting yet -- though Vin Diesel has reportedly expressed interest -- but expect Charlie Sheen to throw his hat in the ring soon. Dude is a real-life warlock hunter. [LAT/24 Frames]

I am really excited for Summit's next big project, as far as I'm concerned if they keep on putting out films I will definitely be watching them. I think taking on a huge project like Twilight was an intense gamble that was so favorable. I think anyone who had read the books would understand the addiction factor but the company that can bring the tsunami will go on favorably and profitable. I watch a lot of my movies after they have already hit DVD and therefore have come to TV. The difference I've seen in having satellite for these magnificent movies over cable is intoxicating. Just in that the clarity and color of the whole HD experience not just in movie channels but most of the programming makes a huge difference. There are a lot of people out there right now who can not afford to subscribe to extra movie channels. I've been really happy with the options available when it comes to free equipment especially with Dish Network. This also makes living in these times easier to deal with. The major corporations that are giving back to their customers are the ones that will survive just like the major movie production companies that gamble on the right franchises will make a lot of money by giving their customers the movies that create a stir. I travel frequently for work through Dish Network so I'm going to go catch my plane but as for my last thought. I look forward to anything Summit decides to unload, at least for now.
This was a more creative add for Dish Network than the idiots that post the "so does my boyfriend" comments.
