Just When Will Katherine Heigl's Next Film Get Released?

HeiglHand225.jpgTough times for Katherine Heigl. Not only was she put on full-blast by Mila Kunis in the trailer for summer rom-com Friends With Benefits, but her own summer film has been yanked from the schedule altogether. The Heigl-led adaptation of Janet Evanovich's One of the Money had been set for release on June 3 (opposite X-Men: First Class), but Lionsgate pulled it off the calendar with the hopes of finding a date that felt "right." The studio is apparently still looking; Money is currently scheduled for TBD. [EW]

If only Katherine had done something original, like star in a movie where she's a hardened yet likable woman who has no time for love until she realizes that the only possible way she will ever matter to herself or anyone else is if a man claims her as his own. You know, something liberating for fans of the 16th century.

The Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich is wonderful. Too bad whoever did the casting didn't bother to actually read any of them. I like Sherri Shepard as Lula, but she's about the only one anywhere close to being right for the part. And the guy they've got playing Morelli (THE ITALIAN STALLION) is Irish and looks about as right for the role as Katherine Heigl does as Morelli. You guys really goofed, and ruined a potential goldmine. With the 17th book coming out this year, and millions of Evanovich fans, you could have had a bunch of incredible sequels in the future.
