The American Pie Reunion You Never Wanted Gets a Start Date

For the first time since 2003's American Wedding, Universal is giving another American Pie installment a theatrical release thanks to the cooperation of original stars Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott and Eugene Levy. Former co-stars Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Chris Klein, Mena Suvari and Jennifer Coolidge are still in negotiations with the studio, which has set a production start date of May 24. This means that the original high school seniors will be around 30-years-old in Reunion. [THR]

Is Alyson Hannigan a deliberate omission there? She'd be the next one after Biggs & Scott I'd be looking to sign - even before Levy, really. (I think the Jim's Dad Wacky Hijinks bit is played out... not that the rest of it isn't, but you never know.)
