Watch the Trailer For the Monsters, Inc. Sequel That Never Was

MonstersIncSequel300.jpgIf you've been waiting patiently since 2001 for Sully and Mike of Monsters, Inc. to return to the big screen, some bad news: you're going to have to wait another 20 months. Pixar has scheduled a follow-up for November 2012 -- how could they not, considering the original grossed over $500 million worldwide? -- but little is known about the project, other than that it won't be including scenes from the following trailer, assembled by the sequel's original screenwriters.

Sometime after the first film's success, Disney's sister studio Circle 7 tapped screenwriters Bob Hilgenberg and Rob Muir to write the Monsters, Inc. sequel -- originally titled Lost in Scaradise. When Circle 7 dissolved though, and the Hilgenberg/Muir writing team left to help out on Toy Story 3, their original vision was pushed to the wayside -- until a few days ago, when the pair found their Scaradise artwork and assembled this rudimentary trailer.

Enjoy, now, the trailer for the lost Lost in Scaradise.
