Feral: Teaser Trailer for Puss in Boots Goes Astray

As promised, here's that new trailer for Puss in Boots. Here's all you need to know about the first teaser trailer the Shrek spin-off: It starts with an Inception-like montage of words and dissonant horns that ends in a "nine lives" joke. Har! Higher level here, folks! Let's take a look at this warlock.

Following the cat jokes, things shift to more Shrek-y pursuits -- that being pop songs used without a reference point and hack jokes. Here, the pop song is Pitbull's "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)," which would count as an ironic joke if I thought anyone involved in the cutting of this trailer actually knew it was a Pitbull song. While it plays on the soundtrack, the Antonio Banderas-voiced Puss in Boots struts and preens. Sorry, I just can't; if there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I'm not a cat person. Especially one armed with sword and an attitude.

VERDICT: Spay and neuter.

"In 3D" was the nail in the coffin. I will not see this, even if I am in the midst of the most Christmas tree tackling Keifer style bender of my life.
