Movieline Premieres Three New Images From Josh Radnor's happythankyoumoreplease
Last January, television star Josh Radnor (How I Met Your Mother) made his directorial debut at Sundance with happythankyoumoreplease, a genial New York-set romantic comedy that went on to snag the coveted Audience Award. Last week Movieline examined the film's first trailer and decided we needed to see more, please, and what better way to do so than by premiering three new looks at the March release?
Writer-director Radnor pulls triple duty in happythankyoumoreplease as Sam, an aspiring writer living on the Lower East Side who misses an important meeting to help an abandoned boy on the subway. When the kid refuses to go back to child protective services, Sam does what any affable, reasonably employed single twentysomething bachelor would do: He brings him home to meet his friends!
Said friends are Annie (Malin Akerman), an alopecia sufferer who finds love with Tony Hale, Mary-Catherine (Zoe Kazan) and Charlie (Pablo Schreiber), a couple figuring out how a cross-country move will affect their future, and "Mississippi" (Kate Mara), a hot aspiring singer. While we wait to find out if Josh Radnor is the new Zach Braff and this his Garden State, ruminate on these exclusive stills and let your imaginations run free in advance of the film's March 4 release. And if these pics inspire you to write that alternate-world HIMYM fanfic you've been working up? Well then, you've already won.
