Scoop! Grey's Anatomy Alum Cops CSI: Miami Role
CSI: Miami is about to get a new helping hand in the lab. Movieline has learned that Leven Rambin, whose TV credits include Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Grey's Anatomy, and most recently ABC's Scoundrels, has been cast on the CBS crime drama in the potentially recurring role of Molly Sloan.
Described as spunky and sexy, this trace evidence technician -- transferred in from Tampa -- will first appear in this season's 14th episode, where she quickly makes a solid first impression on Ryan Wolfe.
Fun Fact No. 1: Rambin has something in common with CSI: Miami vet Eva La Rue, seeing as both actresses started their careers on the ABC soap opera All My Children. (Rambin played twin sisters Lily and Ava.)
Fun Fact No. 2: On Grey's, Rambin played a character with the first name of Sloan.
Now in its ninth season, CSI: Miami airs Sundays at 10/9c on CBS.

Acting is hardly the problem, its directing, and getting what they want from the actor. Apparently you believe you wrote all the scripts and somehow became the authority on how the performance should look. No, you're entitled to your opinion but I think I'll evaluate each character separately. From what I've seen in Terminator, I have no doubt she can bring any performance a director wants to see.

Which shows would those be? I've seen Scoundrels which was meant to be funny and cute at times. And as I said, I don't assume a director wants anything different than what is given. I think that for an actor to know instinctively what is the best performance for a certain scene, they need to have extensive study, research, and experience in the directing aspect of shooting such scenes.
Oh, thanks for the 'you're a guy' comment which clearly points YOU out as being biased enough to have made it. So negative comment, followed by another, followed by another... I see a pattern here.
Have no clue who she is and don't particularly care, though I'd like to see Ryan and/or Natalia and/or Frank in a relationship for a change.
When you say that CSI Miami airs on Sundays at 10/9c, it should include a caveat about CBS` flexible scheduling. So far this season, I believe only 3 episodes have actually aired at 10 pm; others anywhere from 20 min to 45 min late. One was cancelled entirely and just aired this past Sunday, again nearly half an hour late.
Huge surprise. The ratings are suffering, though it still usually beats its replacement in the Monday spot, the dismal Hawaii 5-0. Great move, CBS!
She's great to look at, but she is not great at acting. I watched a few episodes of Scoundrels and I was not impressed.

I'm one of the few who didn't hate her on Terminator, I liked her a lot on Grey's, and I enjoyed Scoundrels very much. So maybe this'll get me to tune into CSI: Miami again.

It doesn't matter if the girl is 13 years younger than Jon. The characters aren't necessarily the same ages as the actors that portray them. Being a recurring character,if this girl was put with Ryan,it would work nicely,I hope they go for it.

My bestfriend is just wondering if age does not matter on csi miami, maybe they should cast my 14 yr. old daughter to be paired with jonathan who is 33 yrs. old! If thats the case thats BS!! Its a crime/drama series they should NOT be cast THAT young!
You need to be concerned what planet you're from. They hired a 20 year old Levin,she's not 16, she's someone of legal age.She won't be portraying a 20 year old.She is portraying an adult that has been trained and works.That has nothing to do with your 14 year old cousin and there is no reason to bring her into the conversation. Hiring a 20 year(that looks older) isn't a big deal. I realize Jonathan is 33,the character (Ryan)he plays isn't,which is what I stated in the first place. They are both actors,portraying a part,period.You and your boyfriend are apparently missing the point.
Just because the actress is 20,doesn't mean the character will be.
Those in charge choose this particular actress so there must not be a problem with her age.
All of the characters on the show aren't the same age as the actor or actress anyway.Emily,Adam and Eva all play their characters younger.Now they will have one that plays her character older.

As far as it being a crime/drama series,lots of things shouldn't be done on the show,but it is.

I'm saying the fact that a 20 year old was chosen to play a character that might have a relationship with Ryan doesn't matter.I am not speaking of someone under age,you are.You keep bringing up 14 year olds,I'm not talking or considering 14 year olds at all.I'm speaking of ADULT age not mattering,no children.David Caruso was 20 years older than the actress that played Marisol,but they were still adults.It is in this content that I was saying age didn't matter. Miami is unrealistic at times,but they wouldn't choose someone underage to put in an adult relationship with their CSI's.
Levin is only being considered for a recurring role anyway.Most likely we won't see her a lot and she and Ryan will be friends.

I thought natalia & ryan were gonna hook up this season? They ended up getting really close after natalia`s hearing problem last year, and remember when they tried to date briefly during season 4 episode dead air? As much as i love csi miami; Im confused!

I just read somewhere that leven`s character on csi miami WONT be extended afterall. All i have to say is "thank god", "Im releaved", "i feel better now!" Maybe the producers/writers got it right this time.
I just read that leven WONT be a possible choice for jon`s love interest on csi miami afterall. A part of me is releaved & another part of me is like whatever I dont care. Lol maybe shes tryn to figure out what show best suits her age! 🙂 Dee & janet if u ladys ever care to read this; its just my opinion!
