We've been sidetracked with Golden Globe news (and blues) today, so let's refresh ourselves with an update from the Lord: Christmas is saved! I knew Mariah Carey's ABC Christmas special "Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas to You" would revive yuletide cheer last night, but I didn't know that Mariah Carey's opera diva mother Patricia Carey would summon Jesus himself off a platinum, myrrh-dotted cloud and to his feet in applause. Get ready for the definitive, divalicious version of "O Come All Ye Faithful."
Yes, your lord and savior just had a vision of love, and it's between these two powerhouses. Mariah's vocals weren't the greatest (until that alien-sorceress final note!), but Patricia commanded that crowd with her Leontyne Pryce earrings, enviable butterfly pendant and that voice. I just wish Linus Van Pelt were here to explain the meaning of it all.

vocal greatness...forever etched in history...
Momma Carey should have slapped her daughter for ruining her voice. There's an interesting article online detailing how Whitney Houston ruined her voice due to all her vocal acrobats. It's obvious the same thing has happened to Mariah. Such a shame when all one has to do is sing properly. Hearing how Momma Carey can still carry a note is hereditary proof.
I thought Mariah's mother was forever seperated due to smoking in bed -- or is there absolutely NOTHING to be believed about Glitter?
This track I will definately buy myself for xmas, Mariah and her mum make great partners with the most wonderful voices, I hope to see them together again in the near future.
