Watch Out, Bree! Desperate Housewives Casts Keith's Sexy Ex
Having thus far weathered their age difference, a nubile roommate and his meddling parents, the romance between Desperate Housewives' Bree and Keith (played by Marcia Cross and Brian Austin Green) next will be tested by the arrival of the handyman's ex-girlfriend.
Playing the role of this pretty, potential interloper will be two-time ABC drama alumna Rochelle Aytes, Movieline has confirmed. Aytes starred on The Forgotten last TV season, and this fall has been recurring on Detroit 1-8-7 as Alice Williams, a lawyer in the Wayne County prosecutor's office.
Keith's former girlfriend initially hits Fairview not looking to make any trouble -- or at least not too much of it. But as Bree prods into the young woman's reason for tracking down the man she ran out on years ago, she very well may get more than she bargained for!
Desperate Housewives aired its winter finale this past Sunday, and will return with new episodes on January 2. Aytes, who is booked for at least three episodes, first appears in this season's 13th episode, set to air in late January.

Wow! First Vanessa Williams, now Rochelle Aytes on the show. DH needed a little sexy color as opposed to a criminal dysfunctional Black family, to spice up the story line, keep the audience interested, and bring in more viewers of color. It is about time. Hope it is not too late.
Winter finale? Winter doesn't even begin for another week. What do you call the set of episodes that begin January 2? Spring? Which doesn't begin until two and a half months later?
But both Williams and Aytes are mixed race half-black actresses. Why is this the type of AA female most sexualized in Hollywood and TVland? I don't want to nitpick, and I appreciate long-established shows finally updating and diversifying, but this standard is so infuriatingly offensive for me personally.
