· Did you know Howard Stern's $500 million contract with Sirius/XM was coming to an end next month? Did you know that Howard Stern was still on Sirius/XM? Well, now you know both. The King of All Media announced today that he has agreed to sign another 5-year deal with the satellite radio company. "I have come to the conclusion that the real innovators, the real geniuses are the people here at Sirius," Stern told his listeners, before adding, "I can say with almost certainty that this is my final five years on radio." Two words, Howard: Brett Favre. [The Wrap]
· James Franco really loves Rebel Without a Cause. The Oscar host has optioned the film rights to a new biography on Cause co-star Sal Mineo. Franco won't star, but he is looking to write and direct. He won a Golden Globe for playing James Dean back in 2001. Next up: Natalie Wood! [THR]
· It looks like there wasn't a conspiracy against Hollywood publicist Ronni Chasen. The gun used to kill her appears to match the gun used by suspect Harold Smith to kill himself last week. The police now believe the murder was a "robbery gone bad" and a "random act of violence." [NYT]
· The Winklevoss Twins are still suing Mark Zuckerberg. According to reports, the twins claim that their reported $65 million settlement was too low based on the true worth of Facebook. Gawker says this one best: "It's always nice to see two privileged millionaire Harvard grads demand more money." [Gawker]
· Speaking of the Winklevi, Social Network star Armie Hammer is in talks to play Clyde Tolson opposite Leonardo DiCaprio's J. Edgar Hoover in Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar. Tolson and Hoover were friends...with possible benefits. Meow, etc. [EW]
· Sofia Vergara and Jessica Biel are in negotiations to join New Year's Eve, the follow-up to Valentine's Day. Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hilary Swank, Ashton Kutcher, Lea Michele and Abigail Breslin are in various stages of negotiation as well. [THR]
· Anne Hathaway and Bradley Cooper are being looked at as the leads in David O. Russell's adaptation of The Silver Linings Playbook. The Matthew Quick novel is "about a former high school history teacher who gets out of a mental hospital and is placed in the care of his mother. His goal is to win back his ex-wife. But he winds up in a romance with a kooky neighbor who also has mental problems." Wonder if Bradley and Anne will go naked on the cover of EW? [Showbiz411]

I'm tired of these monkeyfightin snakes on this Jakarta to Abu Dhabi plane!
For the longest time, I thought Howard Stern was a fictional character. I saw the DVD of Private Parts freshman year, very drunk, and whenever I heard people talking about, "Blah blah on Howard Stern," I assumed they were talking about a part of the movie I was passed out for.
Leave your snide comments about Howard to yourself, little man. I'm surprised that you were able to tear yourself away from watching 'Glee' to actually write anything. And if his re-signing is so unimportant then why did you lead with it?? Get back to more important celebrity news like what commercial Ken Jeong will be in next. Your journalism degree has really paid off, buddy... making mommy real proud. Two words, Christopher: Steve Kmetko.
Surprised you were able to tear yourself away from MarksFriggin long enough to comment here. FWIW, I don't even have a journalism degree, but thanks for the compliment!
Why the bitch?
