Another Dancing with the Stars Conspiracy: Were Voters Locked Out Last Night On Purpose?

If you're a Dancing with the Stars fan who also believes in black helicopters, this season has been like a dream come true. Movieline has already discussed the Bristol Palin phenomenon -- and DWTS host Tom Bergeron has weighed in with his very own "f*** you" to conspiracy theorists -- but was there something truly sinister behind last night's apparent voting blackout?

During Monday's telecast, fans were surprised to find that voting via ABC.com and their telephones was nearly impossible. As a blogger on Famecrawler wrote, "I tried to log in myself and finally gave up after 20 minutes. Then I tried the phone - and that was a bust too. I got a message saying the number was not in service and to please try again, despite the fact that I was inside the allotted voting time." What gives? Did the Tea Party successfully bring down the entire Dancing with the Stars system? Hardly.

According to the show, the voting outages were a result of popularity. "Due to a record amount of activity, some viewers reported experiencing difficulties registering their votes for the Dancing with the Stars finale, which affected each finalist equally," said the producers in a statement. "The issue was promptly addressed and voting lines remain opened online until 11:00 a.m. ET on abc.com." Hope you remembered to vote this morning!

Of course, there is another possibility for the blackout: Maybe Dancing with the Stars producers intentionally clogged the lines so Bristol's Tea Party fan base couldn't get through, thus clearing the way for a Jennifer Grey win! Or not. Now where is my tinfoil hat...

I voted for Kyle and Lacey, and did have trouble getting though (busy signals, dropped calls) but was able to get all 5 votes in last night.
Previously, I had voted for Brandy and MMMMaks and had never had trouble. This shall be interesting tonight.

I voted for Jennifer via phone and could only get four votes in before time ran out and I started as soon as her number appeared. I also tried voted at abc.com and wasn't able to. I tried to do it via facebook and also wasn't able. Hmmmmm!
The problem is that the anti-Palin votes are being split among Klye and Jennifer. If Bristol was one of two finalists, I doubt she'd win. I fear she's going to.

The best part in all of this is that the Palin-haters also are the types to label her Tea Party acolytes as fringe, kook, wing-nuts. Then they come forward to proclaim there is a grand conspiracy keeping Bristol in the game. Brilliant.
Each contestant has a dedicated number, so if calls could not get through that is due to calls being made on behalf of the contestant. Palin fans could not clog lines for her opponents without registering a vote on behalf of that opponent, negating the attempt at favoring her.
This was all proven out on "MythBusters" by President Obama.

I tried to vote for Bristol and couldn't get through by phone or on the net.
How many others were screwed out of their votes. I will NEVER watch this show again. ABC is crooked.

You are a complete fool to vote for Palin, and ever more of a fool to think that ABC actually tried to "fix" this silly dance show competition.
