Well, holy cow. After pulling in $24 million at midnight, the penultimate Potter flick increased its take to a truly magical $65 million in its first day in release. Didn't feel like Harry and Friends were in much danger - in the movie they walked around in plain sight, except at the Ministry of Magic where they appeared to be able to just bumble in and mess around.
The only stand-out scenes was Hermione wiping her parents memories, the destruction of the locket Horcrux and Voldemort opening tomb.
Apart from that the movie lacked any real content, lacked characters, lacked good dialogue. Felt like some arrogant screenwriters and producers had decided they can do Harry Potter better then JKR, and ended up making a pretty but uninspiring movie.
Part 2 should be easy - lots of action, pretty hard to f**k up.
