Week-end project> Photoshopping Natalie Portman's head onto a nude Burt Reynolds.

  • casting couch says:

Huh. Seems to me Natalie has provided objectifying and salacious material recently by showing her bare ass in a thong during the Your Highness trailer I've seen on just about every other site this week -- video, screencaps, animated GIFs. You've done well, Ms. Portman.

  • Tyq says:

I just cannot seem to like her. For me she just has this holier than thou smartass attitude that she masterfuly conceals under her fake kindness and eloquence. I like actors who speak about their craft in objective manner and not this pretentious tone implying how deep and complex it is as and how that makes her amazing. Humble, what is that. I see her as a prude and a cold, distant person. No, dont like her one bit.

  • Natalie Portman does not need to shoot nude scenes to be appreciated. Focus on the acting, and we'll like her for that! Sounds sensible enough.

  • Tamar says:

She's never worked hard to be liked-- I don't think she cares if you think she's a pretentious prude. Her accomplishments speak for herself easily. People forget that not all actors want to be a part of celebrity culture and let random fans get to "know" her and like her.

  • why so negative says:

If she masterfully conceals it, are you sure you didn't imagine it to be there? No, I've seen "smartass" and "holier than thou", and it doesn't look like that. But I know lots of people who emotionally "see red" when someone (besides them) speaks with intelligence and sophistication. There is something behind her words though, what I hear is righteous anger at the porn sites for objectifying meaningful work, and as a result she can't even think about a nude scene. That bugs her. If you think that makes her stuck up... *shrug*

  • Sophia says:

I agree with you that Natalie doesn't come across as someone with a holier-than-thou attitude, and it makes me proud that she points out how porn sites objectify actors' meaningful work.
