I know what you're thinking: You can't believe Anne Hathaway's scoring Oscar buzz off this either. That all should be quashed by next week, judging by the onslaught of junior-high boner humor that has come to define the movie.
For some reason I'm happy to see Gyllenhaal in a downright sleazy role. He and Hathaway have great post-Brokebackian chemistry, and that's fabulous and somewhat redeeming, but they can't elevate a mediocre conceit to award-season contention. I mean, you can picture Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler in these roles, right?
Verdict: A placebo that leaves you limp

These are dope! I saw da Youngfellaz performing in NY and was blown away by how good these rising star rappers really were.
